Clubs are an important part of student life at Central Oregon Community College. They provide informal and frequent opportunities for students, staff and faculty to interact with each other on a wide variety of levels: intellectually, socially and also in terms of career development.
Clubs change each year depending upon the amount of student interest in and adviser involvement with each. Student clubs that have been active in the past academic year include, but are not limited to: Criminal Justice Club, Campus Crusade for Christ, Culinary Club, Forestry Club, Latino Club and the Students Active in Social Sciences.
If you are interested in starting a student club, feel free to contact the ASCOCC office at 541-383-7595 or via email at ascocc@cocc.edu. In order to be eligible for funding through student fees, a club should meet the following criteria:
- Involve at least four students: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer
- Be advised by a college faculty or staff member
- Develop a club mission statement congruent with the ASCOCC mission statement
- Request student fees from ASCOCC: 2007-2008 Academic Year
